 KLIMT - SONDERAUSSTELLUNGEN IM JAHR 2012 IN WIEN

Albertina (13.03.-17.06.2012): Ein Großteil der 170 Werke aus eigener Sammlung und ausgewählte Leihgaben. (www.albertina.at)

Leopoldmusuem (24.02.- 11.06.2012): Unter dem Titel „Gustav Klimt Reisen“ werden zahlreiche Exponate aus dem Nachlass von Emilie Flöge (Lebensgefährtin) gezeigt. Vor allem der rege Briefwechsel des Meisters mit seiner Muse. (www.leopoldmuseum.org)

Wien Museum (16.05.-16.09.2012): Mit rund 400 Blättern, die das Museum das erste Mal komplett zeigt, können Sie den weltweit größten Bestand an Klimt Zeichnungen sehen. Zusätzlich sehen Sie auch einen Arbeitskittel, Plakate und die Totenmaske des Künstlers. (www.wienuseum.at)

Secession: Eines der schönsten Gebäude Wiens mit dem original Beethovenfries, einem 1902 aufgestellten Bilderzyklus der Ludwig van Beethoven gewidmet ist. Für Klimtfans ein absolutes Muss. (www.secession.at)

Kunsthistorisches Museum (14.02.-06.05.2012): Als erstes natürlich das Stiegenhaus mit den 40 Zwickel- und Interkolumnienbildern. Elf davon wurden von Gustav Klimt gestaltet. Dazu bietet das Museum Sonderführungen und eine Sonderausstellung. Zum ersten Mal können Sie diese Bilder aus der Nähe betrachten. Dazu wird eine Brücke über das Stiegenhaus gespannt. (www.khm.at)

KLIMT - SPECIAL EXHIBITIONS IN 2012 IN VIENNA

Albertina (13.03. - 17.06.2012): The majority from its 170-strong collection will be on display to give an unparalleled overview of all the artist’s stylistic phases. (www.albertina.at)

Leopoldmuseum (24.02. - 11.06.2012): Entitled „Gustav Klimt Travels“ numerous exhibits from the estate of Klimt’s lifelong companion Emilie Flöge (partner) will be among the works on show. Wien Museum (16.05.-16.09.2012): With around 400 sketches the Wien Museum has the world’s largest collection of drawings by Klimt. Other highlights include his smock, posters and his death mask.  (www.wienuseum.at)

Secession: One of Vienna’s most stunning attractions with the world-famous 1902 Beethoven Frieze.  This cycle is dedicated to Ludwig van Beethoven. For Klimt fans an absolute must. (www.secession.at)

Museum of Fine Arts (14.02.-06.05.2012):

First, of course, the stairwell with the 40 spandrel paintings and other decorative works adorn the narrow sections of wall between the arches and columns. Eleven of these were completed by Gustav Klimt. For this purpose, the museum offers special tours and a special exhibition. For the first time, you can look at these pictures up close. (www.khm.at)
